Girl with cow
In Romania, where
poverty and hunger
followed up the
breakup of the
Communist system,
the Heifer provided
cows made a difference.

Ending hunger,
caring for the earth.

Bee Keeping
Heifer provided bees
help struggling families
through the sale of honey,
beeswax and pollen.
Beehives require very little
space and, once established
are inexpensive to maintain.

Heifer Ranch

Heifer International's Heifer Ranch near Perryville Arkansas is a hands on campus for education about world hunger and solutions through animal agriculture.  Surrounded by Arkansas' beautiful Ouachita Mountains, the 1,100-acre facility provides more than 22,000 visitors a year with a variety of educational experiences--from two-hour tours to week-long work camps.

Through education that emphasizes experience, the Ranch's outdoor "living classrooms" acquaint visitors with Heifer's mission and the need of those whom the organization serves.  Viitors learn the ways in which animals, and people can make a difference.

 In memory of Kaye Johnson.
